Hi Everyone - I am going to need to get some cooling for my plants in the very near future. I have been growing in a dank, cold basement. So, prefect conditions to control the climate for my plants. But I'll be moving soon, and my only grow space will be a walk-out space and will be influenced by my variable climate (ah Minnesota: 35C in the summer and -35C in the winter, so pleasant). I intend to make a basic grow space, sort of like this one that was posted on YouTube from a guy on TF (where I don't have an account and don't intend to get one). It's an easy setup and will allow me to better control the conditions for my plants, though I will use a different humidification system. My question is, what A/C units to people recommend for grow spaces? Right now, I am thinking about a dual hose portable unit because it will cool the space more efficiently. The problem with those is they seem to have thermostats that only go down to 16C. I'm hoping to be able to achieve highland conditions so I'd like to be able to get down to 12-13C. It would be great to be able to hook one up to a separate thermostat. But to do this the unit would need to start when the power is switched off and then back on, which most newer units can't. This is just what I am thinking about at the moment, so I am open to all sorts of suggestions. Thanks for reading this long and rambling post!
