Hi, a friend of mine that is an aquarium lover (as me also) gave me this Utricularia that he uses a lot in his fishtanks to control the ich parasite, and I as a CP lover tried to cultivate it, so the plant is this, thin threads with tiny 1mm traps, all entangled around my tank: For a size comparizon, the other floating plant is Lemna minor.

I might be mistaken, but it's probably U. gibba.

That is the most likely species. However, with aquatics, the best thing is to get it flowering. then you can determine species.

The filamentous growth is very reminiscent of U. gibba, most other common species like U. australis etc have quite distinctly different growth forms. Aquatic utrics can be difficult to flower in cultivation for some, so you may have some trouble IDing it for certain.

Well, so for now, lets say that it is U. gibba, I was a bit thinking of it because the traps of my plant are more like attached and smaller than the ones I've seen in the pictures, but lets see if it flowers, in that tank it has daphnia and mosquito larvae that I add or sprout naturally, lets see if the plant likes them enough to flower!
