In April 2006, I received a Dionaea "Pygmy" or "Neotenic Clone D". This was a tiny plant that looked like a year-old seedling. However, it was actually a mature plant. I had seen photos of such tiny plants in flower. This fall, my plant decided to put up a flower stalk. Although late in the year, I decided to let it flower so I could take some photos. In a few days, the flower should open. Notice that it will have a single flower and the mass of the flower and stalk is much greater than the leaf and trap mass. I anticipate that even with such late flowering, the plant will survive winter dormancy. .

That is one crazy plant Bob I cant believe how big the flower is compared to the plant. Looks exactly like a small seedling how old is it about 5 years?

Today the flower has now opened. Notice that there is only a single flower on the scape and that the flower has double the normal number of petals. .
