Is it normal to see about half of the leaves on plants with insects in them?
Over the last couple of weeks about half of my VFT's leaves have closed and if I look through them into the sunlight, I can see insects in them. They are doing a good job keeping themselves well fed, but in other people's experiences, is this fairly normal?

Back when I used to grow plants outside, there were times during the summer when they would barely have an open trap. They are very good at what they do.

Atleast half of the traps on my VFT have insects in them, but insects are always going for the same leaves because of the insect bodies there. (havnt been on for a while because my internet broke)

In August I was asked to do an outdoor educational display on CP's at the Anchorage Botanical Garden for the annual flower show. I'd done it the year prior and the kiddo's loved the VFT's and closed all the traps. So this year, I planned a head and brought a dozen pots of VFT's (separate from the display) for kiddo's to feed (brought some dried mosquito's). I put them out on the table, was distracted for 5-10 minutes setting up the rest of my plants and displays. When I returned to the VFT's 1/2 to 2/3 of the traps had trapped mosquito's (yes, it's been a heavy mosquito year)....well before any kiddo's got there too.

Cute idea to try to provide skeeters for the kids to feed the VFTs.
