I don't remember if I posted this here or not, but if anyone is interested, I have a blog that deals with growing Sarracenia (mainly) outdoors year round in USDA climate Zone 6B. I'm in Niagara Falls, Canada.

Also wanted to mention this blog has a really cool discussion on Sarracenia flowers and potential reasons why their heads tilt upwards-don't miss it!

Interesting hypothesis on the flower tilting. Darlingtonia flowers also tilt upwards in the same manner however the styles are protected from pollen falling on them by the bell-shaped ovary. And pollen is likely to fall out as to collect in the petals. I haven't noticed whether the petals drop off before the tilting or after. If before then there would be no pollen to fall on the styles. And as the author notes with Sarracenia the pollen is probably no longer viable at this point anyway. Darlingtonia californicavs Sarracenia leucophylla
