Hey I wanted to know if its a good idea to use Orchid Mix for my Nepenthes? Has anyone tried ir or recommend it?

Mine do really well in Better-Gro's premium mix. It's bark, charcoal, and perlite, then I add some Sphagnum to it to help retain water. Some of my other Neps do really well in live Sphagnum and perlite.

It works well with daily waterings, and it's perfect for species that like a more open mix.

However, if you do use an orchid mix, make sure there is no added fertilizer, as when shopping for my orchids, I see many types with some added. This will burn the roots, and possibly kill the plant. Otherwise, it usually works, as nepenthes grow in the same type of soil that many orchids grow in: coarse, airy, moist.
