Hi everyone I was wondering how often should you feed a N. sanguinea? Also, could I feed it a Multivitamin? Im curious to see what would happen but you know what they say. Curiosity killed the cat. In the case plant.

No, a multivitamin might even kill it. I use live crickets, probably not the most efficient method, but it works. A sanguinea will grow fine without feeding, and if you must, do not overdo it. These plants are adapted to catching insects, not multivitamins.

Never feed a nepenthes anything artificial unless it is some sort of orchid fertilizer, diluted to at least 1/4 strength. But even then the plant is better off with a cricket two every other week in the summer, and less in the winter.

I like to culture fruit flies for my plants. When I getva bunch of adult sized flies I just dump them right into the pitchers. Crickets sound more fun though.

How do you culture fruit flies. I think im going to start doing that. I keep rotting fruit near all of my plants, and that seems to work for me, but if you want to culture them you can buy kits or make a homemade setup, which is a bit too complicated to explain here.
