Is it possible to use a completely inorganic soil mixture for growing CPs? If so, what should the mixture be? I would like to try using fewer organic ingredients to help the environment.

Yes, it is not only possible, but plants grown inorganically do very well, if fertilized regularly. There is an article in one of the ICPS newsletters(you could search for it on the ICPS website) The article lists the use of various ingredients which i cannot remember now. But I think they were Clay based like Lecaton and other clay ingredients of different grades. Rockwool is also said to be a good medium.
