Considering all the text is in capitals, he charges 25$ for D. capensis x spatulata, refers to hybrids as "DESIGNER PLANT!" and he uses terms like "EXTREMELY RARE!, AWESOMELY BEAUTIFUL! and EXTREMELY VIGOROUS!", and his eBay store link doesn't work; I'd say, go right ahead

Hence the question!
On a serious note, some of his prices seem reasonable, and they have plants listed that are harder to find, at least commercially
Usually I would pass up on such a website, for the reasons you listed above, but the link was listed on Sarracenia. com, so it seems worth asking

I would be careful. I have not bought from here personally, but the site and some of his products are extremely gimmicky, this is not a good sign generally. Barry's site is awesome and an indispensable tool, but he has no direct control over the retailers that appear incidentally on his most excellent site. I always tend to be suspicious of sites that sell multiple rare plants of many different genera at the same time. This is usually impossible to accomplish. There are some very good ones like Wistuba, but anything connected to e-bay bares much scrutiny.

Hey, Peter. I'm more into orchids, at the moment, but have found some amazing vendors on ebay (some really bad ones, as well)
Though, with that said, I just found the feed back for his old ebay account, and it's rather obvious why he's no longer active. SO i doubt I'll be doing any future shopping there
PS does anyone know of a good source for D. paradoxa seed, in the US?

...but anything connected to e-bay bares much scrutiny. Oof... that hurts.

On a serious note, some of his prices seem reasonable, and they have plants listed that are harder to find, at least commercially. I recently found this site as well and was intrigued by the claimed species available. While I don't want to be the one to make the first purchase I would be very interested if someone reading this has actually done so. I thank brotherlymonkey for asking the question. - Mark

No, I meant Anything connected with E-bay. There are many good sellers on E-bay, i only meant that one needs to be extra carefull and do ones homework before purchasing anything from an unknown entity. (Aiden, I doubt you could ever be classified as "Unknown" )

as I mentioned above, I found the feedback on their old ebay account and would not feel safe purchasing from them Thanks for restating, brotherlymonkey. I was blinded by the glitzy photos of their website. I can't help but be curious, Aidan. Could you direct me to a link to whatever it is you deal with on Ebay? I'd be completely comfortable buying from you. - Mark

Unfortunately I am on the other side of the Atlantic and so am unable to supply you without the required (and costly) permits and certificates.
