I am thinking about getting a carnivorous plant in the future and i was wondering which plant i would get with absolutely zero experience in this area. Also i have an exo-terra terrarium and that would be fine for carnivorous plants right

It all depends on what you intend to grow, a terrarium is only needed for some Nepenthes Species and plants like Heliamphora, but most others Except most Sarracenia would be OK in a terrarium.

At the risk of being obvious I suggest one of the varieties of Drosera capensis. Not only is this species relatively large, robust and beautiful but it has no dormancy requirements. The joke is that it is nearly impossible to kill. I wouldn't go quite that far. Also, they are easily available through regular cp sources and are reasonably priced. They are very common among cp growers but that is a testament to how spectacular they are. 'Just my opinion.
