Hey fellow cp'ers. After such a long time of loosing expensive cp's to temperature, i have finally decided to go all in on a terrarium system to replace and grow all my favourite highland neps and some heliamphoras.
I have a 4 foot by 2.5 ft tank. I just purchased 2 more t'5 lamps to replace my 175 watt metal halide, it puts off too much heat. I also purchased, a highpowered thermoelectric cooling system out of sweden. I paid alot for it, and i am goig on claims another cper has the same unit and works very well, i am still skeptical but i have high hopes for it! . i will also be attaching a reptifogger to it as well.
I am planning on building a wooden cap over the tank to house the lights and cooling equipment. all sides except for the front are insulated with styro foam, and i have 2 inches of water at the bottom and 2 shelves made of egg crate.
I will also have airconditioning for back up if needed, but i hope not its expensive...
I also got a sweet thing called a zoo med hygro therm. it controlls the humidity and temps, day and night its awesome, i just wish there was a sepertae outlet for heating but i dont think i need it because of the lights . Seems to be working great so far.
I am really hoping it all works out i will post some pictures asap !

Peltier is installed, and set up with a zoomed, hygro therm. Tems get to 13 DegC at night! the peltier works extremely well!!! im very excited. However ir doesnt seem to be able to compete with the lights in the day and it gets to 29DEG C and i would rather it only get to 25.. i hope i can figure another way to cool more in the day maybe mount a fan across the light bulbs ? more airflow ay help

An extractor fan mounted near the lights, with a small air inlet will pull the extra heat out of the terrarium. The only down side would be that it will also pull the humidity out. You would need to supplement that somehow.
