Dear CP lovers,
every year AIPC (the Italian CP Society) offers to its members 4 issues of its magazine (32 pages each), dedicated to several topics on the wonderful world of carnivorous plants.
In 2007 we begun an experiment devoting an entire issue to one single topic and so, in November 2007, the first monograph, comprising 64 pages, came to light: “The Drosera petiolaris complex” by Maurizio Saroldi. In 2009 it was published “the Mexican Pinguicula” by Gabriele Basso and in 2010 we published “A tour of the Venezuelan Gran Sabana and some of its Tepuis" by Andy Smith.
The foreign growers who received these works voiced their appreciation, but also their regret at not being able to read the text, which of course, was in Italian. So we have decided to translate them offering CDs containing the pdf English versions of the monographs.
At the moment we have prepared “The Drosera petiolaris complex” and “A tour of the Venezuelan Gran Sabana and some of its Tepuis". Soon it will be available also “the Mexican Pinguicula”.
AIPC sells every CD at the price of 10 Euros to raise money for “Cerbaie’s project: Drosera rotundifolia var. corsica preservation”.
You will find more info on how ordering the CDs and on “Cerbaie project” here:www.aipcnet.it/aipcjoomla/index.php/component/content/article/16-pubblicazioni-editoriali-aipc/457-aipcs-special-issues.html
Writing to GadgetAIPC (www.aipcnet.it/aipcjoomla/index.php/contattaci/responsabili-dei-servizi-di-aipc/7-responsabili-servizi-aipc/20-gadget-aipc.html) you can also ask to download the files of the Special Issues. Once you pay (7 euros for each number) you will receive a link and a password (valid for 3 days) to download the files.
A special thank to Andy Smith not only for being the author of the Special Issue n. 3 but also to have given us a great help in controlling the English versions of all the Special Issues.
