I can finally order carnivorous plants online as long as the price is not greater than 30 bucks, shipping excluded. I am mainly looking for nepenthes and so i was wondering if any of u had any advice on which neps to get. I live in San Diego and i am not that great at growing them (i killed 2 bicals and one ventrata, the only thing left is a talangensis which i have no idea y it's still alive). Any advice would be great. Thanks

Are you asking which species to buy, or do you want to know which Web sites have reasonable prices? The price of Neps has come down to the point that you could get three or four small ones for less than $30 from some sites, including sellers on eBay.
I'm not very experienced with Neps, but I do live near San Diego in Dana Point. I've tried a handful of species and, so far, ventricosa is the one that stands out. It seems to really like the climate here along the coast. I have a couple of alatas that I've been able to keep alive, but they haven't grown any traps since I brought them home.

Here is a link of many online stores: www.nepenthesaroundthehouse.com/vendors.htmFor reasonable price, actually there is no answer. A general phenomenon is: for plant A (with similar size), store A has lower price than store B; for for plant B (with similar size), store A has higher price than store B. So, you need to search lots of stores and compare the price for a given plant.
