Hello All,
Several Forum Members have contacted me in regards to a small window that pops up when they visit various ProBoard forums, asking them to "verify their passwords or their accounts will be deleted in two weeks"
Obviously, a scam to gain hacker access to the Forums? I urge all users to not enter their information into the link.
Brian.

Specifically what do you mean by "when they visit various ProBoard forums"? Does it happen on our forum? I have never seen such a pop-up. I looked on the Support Board and did not see any discussion related to that.
If you provided more detail or an example, that would help.

Bob,
I have gotten the notice and was going to PM you, but I have been busy in personal business. I just told Brian today, by phone. I first got this notice on Sunday or Monday of this week. The notice, stating to be from ProBoards shows up in the advertisement area of this forum and has a statement of acceptance for the reader to agree to. It stated that I must allow proboards to access my personal data and passwords and they would need to distribute some information to third parties. To ignore the notice would mean I would no longer have access to ProBoards forums in two weeks. There are strange errors such as the "Y" in you is capitalised in the middle of sentences. The notice is not centered in the advertisement area, also. (it is on the left side of the add area.) The two week time frame statement did not change, and this also seemed strange to me. No members were complaining about the message, and this made no sense to me, more than any other oddity. I have just not replied or accepted the terms of agreement. If I disappear from this forum suddenly in a week and a half you will know why! I'm certain no tears will be lost if this is the case! ;D
If I see the notice again I will make certain to take more notice of it and let you know. (Lucky you!)
Take care, Steven Stewart
