Wow! That deep red one your raised from seed... Its amazing! Its almost black! Thanks, yes it is almost black or deep purple in color. I almost wish I had covered the top of the soil with silica sand to have it stand out better. In the photos it's hard to see the color against the dark peat moss.

Congrats on the plants they look amazing. that deep red purple one is intense. also i love the multi-color red/green/yellow tiedye ones, pink venus. THose wacky traps... are they supposed to be like that and do they catch things? they are cool non the less.

THose wacky traps... are they supposed to be like that and do they catch things? they are cool non the less. I believe I've read that the traps aren't functional and that the plant itself is a bit difficult to maintain, i.e. not vigorous?

THose wacky traps... are they supposed to be like that and do they catch things? they are cool non the less. Yes, the weird trap characteristic is very stable and if the traps don't look like that then the plant isn't a 'Wacky Traps'. They do not catch things and grow a bit slower for this reason. But the plant I have seems to grow nearly as quickly as my other Dionaea. I think that they photosynthesize fairly well.

I-Reckon The-'One' You-Raised from-Seed is-Definitely R-Winner, so-to-Speak. Reckon You-Should Just Call-It: "BLARK" >(*U^)<
