I'm growing an assortment of CP's in a covered terrarium and I've notcied a few gree patches growing on the soil. It looks sort of like algae. Will this affect the plants? If so, how do I get rid of it?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I noticed no one has responded yet. The algae is only a problem with seedlings. If you don't like the looks, you can try keeping the soil drier or scrape it off with a spoon.

this is a form of Cyanobacteria, usually associated with hard water, or fertilizer build up on the soil, but is common in terrarium growing. Not harmful to plants, but ugly, as prmills has said, just scrape it off with a spoon, and put another layer of top dressing.

Sorry for the delayed "Thanks" but didn't see a response so I stopped logging in. The plants are still doing well so decided to put up with it for now.
