Fleischmann, Andreas; Wistuba, Andreas; Nerz, Joachim Three new species of Heliamphora (Sarraceniaceae) from the Guayana Highlands of Venezuela. Willdenowia - Annals of the Botanic Garden and Botanical Museum Berlin-Dahlem, Volume 39, Number 2, December 2009, pp. 273-283(11) Botanic Garden and Botanical Museum Berlin-Dahlem Abstract:Heliamphora uncinata, H. ciliata and H. huberi are described as species new to science and illustrated. They are compared with their putative relatives, ecological notes are included and an identification list for all specimens examined is appended. The petaloid tepals of H. uncinata bear nectaries in the basal half of their adaxial surface and it shares this feature with H. exappendiculata. This is the first record of nuptial nectaries for the genus Heliamphora. Full text PDF is available for free download at www.ingentaconnect.com/content/bgbm/will/2009/00000039/00000002/art00006

Dear Andreas, Your photos of H. uncinata are spectacular! I really am intrigued by the photo of the plant hanging off the edge of the hill/mound, is this a typical growth habit?
