I ordered a [glow=red,2,300]P. Primuliflora[/glow] and it came in the mail today. I potted it and have in an open terrarium with a light... My question is... When i opened the package the leaves were normal, but after about an hour after potting, the edges of the leaves started to turn up (all leaves). Anyone know why? Are those leaves going to die now? I have two more coming up. Thanks ! -Pantheon8

Hello Pantheon, Actually, it is quite normal for Pinguicula to lose a few leaves after transit. You must keep in mind that the plant has been traveling sealed in a 100% humidity environment for days, plus the seller's growing conditions may be different than yours as well... As long as the new growth/crown doesn't start wilting, you'll be fine. P. primuliflora usually recovers quickly and is a pretty tough plant. Brian.

I think some cupping of leaves is fairly normal. Perhaps not as much as P. lusitanica, where they almost seem to be folded around the mid vein. How much mucus are they producing? (some how that always makes me think of okra).
The first ones I potted up had a bunch of leaves that got damaged in transit and those leaves seemed to produce many little plantlets. Maybe it was my poor potting technique covered a few of them with some media. Does this also work with non damaged leaves? Cover them with media while attached. Sort of like french layering.....
I can't seem to get them to pollinate so vegetative propagation is my only option. Although, I am beginning to suspect that the greenhouse I had them in may have been too humid so pollen not being shed, not unlike what I observed with the sundews.

Put it the best conditions you can provide and wait it out. My first plant was at a window sill and the thing flowered 8 times, as well as put out plantlets on its leaves. I was a total newbie. Never had that good success since!
