I hadn't noticed when I was taking pictures of the pink thingy that there was a bract pitcher on the same stem. The plant is Heliamphora X ( heterodoxa x ionasii )It's small but almost perfectly formed

Pretty cool-I've never seen those things on a heliamphora before. I wonder, is a bract pitcher the same as a primitive pitcher or is perhaps just a mutation of the plant?

The same type of bract pitcher on Heliamphora ionasii. They look like immature pichers without a spoon. The first, lower bract, however is a full blown, adult pitcher.
