I have a P. moranensis which has grown quite large over the past few years. What was once a small plant now fills a 6" pot and has numerous growing points. It appears very healthy. Recently, the flower stalks grow up to about 1" and then just dry-up and die. Historically, they have grow up to 6" and produce a nice dark pink flower. There has been no change to it's growing environment or culture so I'm kind of puzzled. Any help would be appreciated! Bryan Rhode Island Zone 7

I have the same problem with my plant, but I cannot figure out why it is happening. I will tell you what my plant's conditions are like and you can tell me what your plant's conditions are like. from that we can deduce what the problem is by what they have in common:
light: bright light, but perhaps a bit too dim water: soil kept moist but on the dry side humidity: my hygrometer broke a while ago, but it is about moderate humidity soil: 1:2:1 peat:perlite:vermiculite fertilizer: foliar feed applied every two weeks or so. Applied with a paintbrush amout of insects caught is trivial
