These are great for outdoor bogs also.
Yellow eyed grass (Xyris balwiniana)
Pipewort (Eriocaulon compressum)
Shoe button (Syngnonathus flavidulus)
Bog buttons(Lachnocaulon anceps)

I just discovered a new nursery that seems to have a large number of bog companion plants: www.reesevilleridgenursery.com/4.htmlIt's hard to find some of these in nursuries, like Gautheria hispidula, and labrador tea. Garden Watchdog seems to score it well so far (but unfortunately they still have a mail in order form). Looks like the closest I've found yet to a complete "bog nursery" (lot's out there that sell CPs, but usually short on the companion plants).

Where can you get Platanthera cilliaris, or any Platanthera for that matter?

Hi Yathkin: We have a variety of companion plants listed in our catalog at www.pitcherplant.org and we're your neighbor in Virginia! We will be adding several new associate plants in our 2010 catalog while others can be obtained upon request. Sincerely, Phil Sheridan Director Meadowview Biological Research Station

Phil, Not be impatient and all, but when will the 2010 catalog be available? ;D Santa promised a sled full of sarracenia, utrics, and bog orchids, and I want to know when the fat elf is going to deliver. Thanks, -Hermes.

Hi Hermes:
I just finished our Holiday Newsletter with two US Fish and Wildlife Reports next in line. When I complete those the catalog update happens which means A HAPPY NEW YEARS CATALOG FOR YOU! I'll post when it is available. I should have it ready around or shortly after New Years Day.
Best,
Phil
