I have finnaly got the lowland terrarium overhauled and fixed, I have upgraded he lighting and bought a new tank with front sliding doors. my last lowlland tank was a 55 gallon , with very poor lighting and the plants quickly took it over so I now have a 95 gallon tank that has been made specially for lowland nepenthes, I added a glass panel to the top and used two shoplights fitted with plant bulbs and in the middle i placed 2 t5 lights which have an awesome balance and spectral power they seem to really bring the best out of the plants. Under the grate there is a few inches of water that is continually heated with a 150Watt sub heater , and it is on all the time, ;D My next project is rigging up the highland tank , with a cooling system and timers and thermostats, I will post a thread for that , I will attempt a cooling system with a radcore and a condesation coil i got from a hydro store, and i have an extra mini fridge i will use, as the 400W MH heats the tank too much for highlanders , most of my collection has died over a year so have only the last strong ones , so the new tank should really help, then i can bring more highlanders in!
