Hi guys
I'm a little worried about the aphids that have gotten into my terrariums. They're starting to attack my U. alpina and U. reniformis.
Does anyone know of a good chemical/pesticide that will eradicate them?
Thanks!
- Jeff

You should perhaps think of using Biological controls instead of chemicals. I use African mantids to control aphids on my plants very effectively. Assassin bugs will also work and Ladybugs are particularly effective against Aphids. you can purchase eggs over the INTERNET with full instructions for release. the beauty of these controls is that they do not affect your plants negatively at all. when they run out of "food" on your plants, they become food for your plants. just make sure you get bugs that exist in your part of the world to prevent invasive species introduction. www.naturescontrol.com

Thanks man! I just bought some Neem oil, so I'm gonna see how that works out. I find that when I put lady bugs and stuff in there, they all mysteriously vanish. I find them in my pitchers and traps.

I know it's only been five days but.... there are no short term negative effects of Neem oil on my Utrics! I used it on Longifolia, Reniformis, and Alpina. I thought it might damage them.
For some reason aphids don't go for asplundii, quelchii, or quelchii hybrids. Hmm.... kinda wierd.
I'll post the long term effects in a month or so.
Thanks for looking.
