Hi All, Greetings from the Meadowview 'Garden of Eden'. (or in the plants' case "garden of eating" ) Anyway, on view, exclusively from Meadowview (I think anyway) for your viewing pleasure, is a plant that I weeded/groomed a bit today. To be honest, this thing is crazy; Sarr. 'Tarnok' is a double-flowered leuco, but I'll have to take a look outside, because this is at least a double, but may have three times the sexual parts- this one is REALLY well endowed- also, it's not a leuco- it's my favorite, a PURP! So, I'm not sure if ya'll have seen something like this from a Sarr. purpurea, but here it is if you haven't. I think we have only one single plant/clone, so we all tip-toe around it. Ok, enough talking here it is: This is the Flower!!! Plant is otherwise normal looking More cuurrrraazyyness from Meadowview. Hope you enjoy, best, Nick 'bluesboy'

If that turns out to be stable, there'll be a lot of jealous growers this side of the Atlantic!!
A very nice looking plant!

'Tarnok' is not a double flower. According to the cultivar description, "the flower exhibits a proliferation of tepals (undifferentiated petals and sepals) arranged in whorls". I first saw photos of this S. purpurea clone a year or two ago and the flower structure appears similar to that of 'Tarnok'. Are male organs present as in my experience they are absent from 'Tarnok'? This flower is closer to a traditional double: icps.proboards105.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=sarracenia&thread=897
