Does anyone know of a really thorough dichotomous key of Sarraceniaceae that includes S. rubra ssp? I've had some S. rubra for 10+ years that I obtained just labeled as S. rubra and would like to get them identified down to ssp. if possible. I realize this group is highly variable like other Sarra species. Is this group mostly separated by locations and adaptations. Surely a good key has been written for Sarras. I'm so used to using Radford (NC and SC key) but it is a little older than many of these ssp. Any advice concerning literature would be great. I'm not only interested in S. rubra here I would like to have a few good Sarra keys on hand especially for a subspecies reference.
Thanks

Don Schnell wrote a pretty good paper with a key of all the Sarracenia, per his concept of the genus, based upon pitcher characters. I believe it was:
Schnell, D.E. 1998. A Pitcher Key to the Genus Sarracenia L. (Sarraceniaceae). Castanea. 63 (4): 489-492.
This may be useful for you.
