Wow that is very sad to hear yet in a way it can lead to ways of growing and possible new ways of harvesting these plants as so that it will be more profitable to grow them on protected ground....burn those specific areas so the plants will benifit ...and eliminate the need for pochers to hurt the wild plants....

It's no more sad than farming lilies or daffodils. It's great.
What's also great are the artificial Sarracenia that are being used more and more often.
