Hi, today, the D. cistiflora flowered. Here are some pictures i have taken: Btw, D. cistiflora does not open the flower for one day only. The flower above was opened already yesterday, bu i had no batteries for my camera... Also interesting, this plant has flowered in April two years ago and at the beginning of March last year. Must have something to do with the weather (?!) Christian

I really like the D. cuneifolia. Where are they from and what kind of care do they require?
Thanks!

Hi,
Drosera cuneifolia comes from the Cape in South-Africa. It needs the same care as for example, Drosera capensis, aliciae or admirabilis (this means nothing special). I am growing two forms of D. cuneifolia, that are quite different. The smaller form from with the location data "Table Mountain" does not go dormat during summer, which the larger form (from the silvermine nature reserve) usually does. If this happens, just keep the pots a bit drier and waint until the plants come back. In my opinion, deep pots are needed to grow them. I am currently using 20cm deep pots, but the roots are already growing out of the holes in the bottom.
