This is a common site in the NJ Pine Barrens where these poor damsel flies go chasing mosquitoes, and other small flies, and accidentally crash into a D. intermedia bush, usually growing up from shallow water around the peripheral margins of a pond, or small stream. Dozens of sticky Drosera leaves grab hold of the doomed Damsel fly like small red fists! I'll post some pics this season as I find them.
