Here's a few shots of my minibog that I mainly grow some of my VFT's in. It has VFT - Dentate Traps, Red Dragon, and Typical. I do have a few Drosera growing in it as well. D. filiformis ssp. filiformis FL Red, D. rotundifolia, and D. sessilifolia. This is what the minibog looked like the beginning of the year after I thinned it out. I ended up with 2 flats like this.

Nice plants. On your top picture what kind of pot is that, I once saw it in another picture and I was wondering what it was.

Thanks for the comment.
It is designed to go on deck rail corners. It's a little over 6" deep. Across the front it is 21" I found it at a garden center.

I filled the planter with about a 1 to 1 1/2" layer of dried Long Fiber Sphagnum Moss (LFS). I then added my soil which was an equal mix of peat moss, sand, perlite, and LFS. I added a top layer of LFS and then planted my plants.

Oh, so I would guess that you added the LFS at the bottom for drainage.

That looks cool elgecko!
Does it get hot on your deck? Also does it get windy?
It tends to get really windy here in Perth during summer and I find my plants don't like the very low humidity with the windy conditions.
It's a bit frustrating as I would really like to have an outdoor bog garden for my VFT's and sarra's.
Dave.

Where is Perth? My garden with Sarracenia prupurea, Typical VFts, and D. Capensis are protected by some fences in my backyard.
