So around the start of the year my heater went out in the sunroom and my stolonifera got frozen to death. Or so I thought. Last night as I was getting ready to dump the pot in favor of using it for some newly acquired tubers I noticed this: Seems that this one plant was not frosted quite to oblivion and is making a go at recovering from basal growth. I am hoping it can pull enough energy to sustain a tuber for next season.

Dear Travis,
I have found that if you keep on feeding tuberous/cormous Drosera, they don't go dormant. Instead, they keep making new branches from underground. There is a limit, though. After a couple of months, food and then water should be withheld so they can go dormant.

Hey Dave. Thanks for sharing such very interesting and valuable information on this species! Does this phenomena occur regardless of photoperiod length or minimum/maximum temps? Have you ever taken it "to the max" so to speak? Happy Growing, Brian.
