Hello List, I was reading a thread which bounced me to another Forum where I saw this nice photo of Drosera rotundifolia and D. intermedia growing on Sphagnum moss. The plants have finished flowering and you can see the seed capsules poking up out of the moss. There is also a frog in the left center of the photo: It appears to me that the flowers stalks are actually the terminal growth of the plant and further growth is achieved by branching. These side shoots grow out for a month or so and then go dormant for winter. When I have plants go dormant in my bog, I rarely see them form large winter buds unless they have not flowers or have barely flowered. Has anyone else noticed this or a similar growth pattern in Drosera rotundifolia?

Hi Dave yes, I have noticed the exact same patterns. Unforntuniatly my flower stalk keeps dieing before any seeds are produced. maybe this year will be different.
