Well I'm excited to be back since my last membership in 1986. Many things have changed since my involvement including a 35 year career which will soon be winding down and allowing me to jump back into my love of growing exotic cultivars. Though my horticultural interests shifted to organic horticulture and the soil food web, I have always known that i would revisit the amazing world of carnivorous plants. Back in the day everything was old school sending away for catalogs around the world, trading seeds and purchasing bare root specimens that were not always guaranteed to arrive! From the age of 13 to my late teens, I managed to acquire a significant collection with the help of Patrick Dwyer of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Albany New York. I often wondered what became of the many collectors that I traded seed stock with at that time. Anyhow I'm looking forward to making new friends and continuous learning as I revisit my childhood passion.

Welcome back, online there is much more information than when I started (about when you left :-) ). I do highly recommend our Facebook page to see who is around as not all are active on this forum. Also you'll be amazed what is available on,ine these days. www.facebook.com/groups/ICPScarnivorousplantforum

Hi northerngardener and welcome back after a looong break. The plants are the same but like most things, the way we grow them has been modified. Cheers Steve

Thanks Steve, I look forward to exploring how things have changed. I can certainly say that my conventional gardening has changed drastically and anticipate some similar changes when it comes to CP.
