This leaf stolon had already started sending out plant parts from its "leaf" tip, before it broke free from its attaching stem. That leafy stolon was then placed on a bed of live Sphagnum, where it began further growth. I had expected traps to be formed first, followed by leaves, but that isn't what happened. Recently snapped a pic of the tubers forming a ring around the tip of that detached U. quelchii leaf stolon. There are also three small leafy stolons in there as well. I have been documenting the growth on this clone since its arrival here, over at Fred G's site: fredg.boards.net/thread/824/quelchii-auy-tepuiAnd a photo of this clone's flower can be seen in the first post of this thread, over at CP North: cpnorth.proboards.com/thread/17/quelchii?page=1&scrollTo=73dvg

The photosynthetic leaf stolens have grown out a bit more in size, since the original post, here. And bladder traps are now being made, with more visible when I was pushing away the moss that was threatening to overgrow everything. dvg
