Let me introduce you to "Charismatic Flora of Sumatra", a book on the remarkable plants of Sumatra. It is the result of Jeremy Holden, field biologist and photographer, many years of photographic exploration in the Indonesian island. The book, currently a work in progress, will introduce the reader to the unique flora that occurs there. It will obviously highlight the inevitable Rafflesia, Amorphophallus titanum and the many Nepenthes species but will also showcase little known beauties such as Impatiens, Begonia and ferns. The first edition of this title will be a print run of 750 copies for a 180 page book. In order to release it, a crowdfunding will be soon organised through Kickstarter. I will let you known when the campaign starts so that you make sure you book a copy . In the meanwhile, please find below a glimpse of the book cover, the preface and a few pages as well. For those who use Facebook, here is a link to be follow project updates: tinyurl.com/y8my44muFrançois.
