Hello! I am a beginner in the subject of gardening; however, last month I was on the carnivorous plants festival. I found here some pretty plants so I thought that I have to have it! I bought two sarracenias. I think that they are different types, but I am not a specialist of it - one is thicker wereas the other one is slimmer. The problem is that yesterday I noticed that something is wrong with them. The top of mine plants looks like it is withering, it is brown while previously it was green. Is it natural or am I doing something wrong?

Hello, It's very difficult to guess what may be the problem without looking at a photograph. All Sarracenias prefer full sun to grow well and with vibrant colors. Lacking full sun they may be grown with artificial lights but will lack the vibrant colors expressed when grown in sunlight. They should also be watered with either distilled, RO, or rain water. Lacking any of these will cause the slow demise of the plants.
