The ICPS is glad to announce it has a new Director of Conservation, Research and Education - Alex Eilts! For his introduction he states: Conservation and education have long been passions of mine. I am thrilled to have been given this opportunity to serve the ICPS, all of its members, and to help further the conservation goals of the organization. I bring to this position formal training as an ecologist, a long background as an effective science communicator, and a history as unwavering advocate for conservation. I am also an avid hobbyist, growing around 100 species of carnivorous plants, with a particular interest in Drosera. I hope to have an opportunity to interact more consistently, not only with the ICPS board and its advisors, but also with a larger group of members, as we seek to formalize the granting process for the ICPS to achieve maximum benefit for the carnivorous plants we love for our money spent. Welcome Alex!
