Hey everyone!
I am planning a trip to Colombia in January! As I am working on Ping reference collection at our BG in Meise, it would be nice to see some Pings in their habit of course!
I got some good info & location already with a local guide ( Heiberlein) for P elongata, for that no problem and he will guide me around there.
For P calyptrata it's still a problem, no info at all so if someone could help me with a connection or someone who could guide me it would be super! You can PM me if you don't want to make it public!
If some some of you know some other CP's spots in Colombia ( Drosera's / Utrics ) it will be very welcoming
By the way , is there a specific blooming season for epiphytic utrics or they just bloom randomelly?
Thanks for all upcomming info!
regards
Christophe

I'm not sure about the other species, but I think Utricularia jamesoniana has been found in flower year round.

Can't help with the Pings, still rusty on the SA species, but regarding the utrics: depends on the species, some will flower year-round, others are more closely tied to the changing seasons, often blooming during periods following the dry seasons.

In Costa Rica utrics have usually a peak season, as mentioned, jamesoniana has flowers almost all year round, but other species are more short flowered. If they are in more seasonal places, they may even loose the leaves
