My Utricularia bifida flower constantly and recently I have noticed that some of the seed have germinated by on their own. I have not attempted to self-pollinate any flowers so this is quite a surprise. This is the first time that I have seen Utricularia seed germinate. I grow most of my terrestrial Utricularia in clear tubs in peat moss that are always covered so the humidity is always close to 100 percent. The seeds that germinated appear to have gotten stuck on the sides of the container which were covered with water droplets, which I think helped them germinate. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures before I moved the plants to peat moss in the container. There were two clumps in total. Normally the flower just wilt without anything happening but I guess the lucky ones that were touching the wet sides of the container were able to have their seed germinate. Here are shots of the foliage and flower if anyone is curious. Utricularia bifida is very prolific in my conditions and has filled most of the container (the rest is a mix of Utricularia calycifida, chrysantha, lateriflora, involvens, and Genlisea margaretae).
