Dear Friends of Meadowview:


Tomorrow, May 5, is YOUR day to make a big difference in pitcher plant conservation by donating to Meadowview on the Community GIVE. The Community Give is a one day fund raising event for local non-profits in the Fredericksburg, VA region and is hosted by the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region. Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 to both pay off the remaining $43K note on the Wilson tract and to purchase the M. Latka tract on the Central Virginia Preserve. Can you help with this effort? We are working on buying, protecting and restoring a series of connected properties to complete the Central VA Preserve to ensure protection of the rare northern-most pitcher plant bog in Virginia, a state threatened species (New Jersey Rush), a globally rare gravel bog, and to expand the Duff McDuff Green Jr. Birding and Wildlife Trail.
