Orgionally I was thinking early May for getting some north american pitcher plants and venius fly taps from cailfornia carnivores, but is it a good idea to do it earlier say in april. do these plants ship best while dorment or in active growth.
I live in MN, zone 4.

The plants can be send in growth without much problems...main issues will be a) will the encouter frost on route? b) do you wish to grow them outside? if so are you free of nightly frost?
While the plants are basically hardy to a reasonable extend nuresry grown plants most of the time have yet to get a first frost and will be fragile untill astablished.
