Thank you Joseph!!! This is exactly what the conscious grower should do. If you determine that the plant you are growing (and distributing) is incorrectly identified, notify all that may have received your plant, as well as the originator, that the plant is not what you thought it was. The purpose is not to embarrass the originator, but to try to correct an honest mistake.

What is interesting is this mistake has been made more than once... Happened in Europe too.
Might reversing the Identities be an example of dyslexia?

Actually, what threw me off, was this image -> incorrectly identified as Pinguicula 'Weser', when it obviously is Pinguicula 'Sethos'. But, unless you have the actual standard photo to compare it too, it is easy to be misled. I didn't recognize that error, until I acquired a copy of the book, where the photographic standard was published. It was, and still is, linked at Omnisterra.com, with this identifying information: "Photo Info Name: [Pinguicula * weser] Credit: J. van Wijk, scanned by B. Deelder Date: summer 1996"

Thanks Joseph,
Right, it was presented to you and many others in reverse. I'm interested in how it got reversed, not in casting blame. Perhaps J. van Wijk reversed the ID's... That really should be fixed in the CP database.

Travis, I can give you the origins of both Pinguicula 'Weser' and 'Sethos' in the US. Back in the mid- to late-80's I imported them into the country from Germany. I can't remember the name of the guys, but he has a huge list of various carnivorous plants and I'm interested in Pinguicula so.... Both were extremely easy to grow and propagate and I produced many hundred if not thousands over the years.
I heard years later that the guy from Germany later moved to somewhere in Africa and I haven't heard about him since. I probably have his name somewhere in the garage but who has time to look for such things.
