Hope this is in the right forum!
Has anyone heard of CZplants.com? They are in Europe and want to know if anyone has ordered from them? If you do order from them, do you have to pick up your order at the airport or does it get delivered right to your door? Please keep in mind I am in Canada.

Normally they send packages to the place you tell them. The system here is they send you to your house or PO box you say. Or, the plants may be retained at customs for you to claim.

Another question here.. I asked CZ Plants for a quote and the staff there gave me a direct answer. The total was 63.00 EURO which is $92.00 Canadian. Will I have to pay GST & PST since it is coming here to Canada? or just pay the European taxes?

Before doing anything you should check what the requirements are to import plants to Canada.
You will not pay any sales tax from the source country, but tax may be levied locally.

Okay..
So I've ordered some Venus Fly Trap Seeds from CZPlants and he gave me a tracking number but the problem is what postal service do I insert the tracking number in? He didn't specify.

Hello, Thank You for trying to help but that link doesn't seem to work either. I know I could email CZPlants but I don't want to become a pest. However though I have a question in regards to the seeds I bought from them. I ordered 20 of these seeds www.czplants.com/p4748-Dionaea-muscipula-%7C-venus-fly-trap-%7C-Carolina-Bech-State--N.C.-%7C-carnivorous-plants-seeds-%7C-10sand am curious to know are those seeds from their wild plants in the park? or from a wild plant that has been cloned? or are the seeds imported from another area and just renamed them that because that's the area that CZplants bought them from? Maybe the park is the middle man? - Jonathan

If you are in the United States I trust you are aware of the import requirements for plants and seeds. Depending on the amount of seeds you are importing you need a phytosanitary certificate or Small Seed Lot Permit or a Plant Import Permit and a phytosanitary certificate.

Hi,
I am actually in Canada and I don't think you need a Phyto cert for seeds. I didn't know about the Seed lot permit though. All I ordered was seeds and no plants. Can anyone clarify this?

From what my CP friends in Canada have found out is that permits or certificates are not needed to import seed. I don't know for certain about plants. I do believe you do need a phytosanitary certificate which is why I haven't sent plants to anybody in Canada. The best thing to do is to contact whichever government agency that regulates agriculture or one of the Carnivorous Plant societies in Canada.
