I finally have some Heliamphora in my collection, and here's the biggest H. heterodoxa x minor The newest leaf is only just starting to grow, and my other seedlings (minor and nutans) aren't worth showing yet, though they're doing well. ~hcarlton

As discovered last night, the H. heterodoxa x minor has begun making new growth points. Also, in other news, the H. nutans seedlings are now somewhat worth photographing: I have one other species as well, H. minor, but they are all very small seedlings and only just starting to grow again, so it will be a while before I take pics of them.

The heterodoxa x minor decided to triple the number of growth points. I now have 6, and open pitchers on all but one

Nice plant, but you should add more light IMHO
The nectar spoons should be deep red, not greenish.

I'm somewhat limited on the amount of light I can provide. As a college student I have yet to have the spare cash to update the fixtures. It would be nice though..... Meanwhile, the plant is very happy in any case, new pitchers showing up all around The pitchers do come up with very red nectar spoons, and every growth point has a new pitcher coming up on it now, but the color eventually fades. During winter, though, the sun comes right through the window, so it may color up for the next few months at least.

Well, fingers crossed it might flower. It's certainly putting enough into a ridiculous number of growth points. The H. nutans is also sending up a mature pitcher now. The southern sunlight is doing wonders for color on the het x minor H. heterodoxa x minor by hawken.carlton, on Flickr H. heterodoxa x minor by hawken.carlton, on Flickr Color has increased since this was taken, with the reds spilling out into the main pitcher as well. Multiple new, colorful pitchers are currently forming, and the plant has just about completely filled its pot

I'm fairly certain I now have about 3 plant's worth of pitcher in this pot.... H. heterodoxa x minor by hawken.carlton, on Flickr Also, you can see that annoyingly ripped pitcher in the back: it literally exploded, biggest pitcher in the bunch and when it opened the whole thing just popped....
