I always thought that Utricularia gibba's traps were individual, but today I saw that that is not always the case.
In the picture above you can see that the gibba in the middle has multiple traps on a single stalk. It looks like there is one large bladder in the middle with two smaller ones to the sides of it. I didn't realize that Utricularia gibba could do this before, but Taylor does have a drawing of gibba showing this in his monograph. It would be interesting to know if anyone else has observed this before.
By the way, the bladders in the middle were fairly large. You can see that they are comparable in size to the Utricularia striata bladders on the young plant next to it.

Are you sure it is not U. striata?
In fact, I am desperate for getting this species... I am studying the carnivorous plants of southern Brazil, and need some samples of U. striata for comparison with a probable new species....
