I got about 4 different sarrecenias about a month ago and out of those my S.rosea is starting to flower allready. Im not sure when it enterd dormancy but I wasnt exoecting any of them to "break dormancy" for at least another month or two. So theres probly not much I can do but is this a bad thing? Could it adversly efect my plant in the long run to not hav a full dormancy?

I live in Santa Clarita and mine are also starting to send up buds. This has been normal for me since I moved to CA 5 years ago. My plants have been dormant for about 2 1/2 months and the days are now getting longer (which is what is triggering it). You'll be fine.

The species is native to the gulf coast, so it has a different much shorter dormancy than most other species.
