I knoticed in the book "The Savage Garden" from Peter D'Amato the picture of the two carnivorous Bromeliads on page 285 it shows the two plants in tarracata pots. Till now I thought the only cp sutable for tarracata pots were Drosophyllum Lusitanicum or the dewy pine. I currently have my Brocchibia in a green plastic pot but its due for a repotting here in the spring and was wondering if tarracata would be benificial? I live in zone 9 on the coast in cen Cal and usualy grow the plant in eather dappled shade outdoors or as a housplant on a bright windowsill when temps are unfaverable. I read that they are kind of like Heliamphora in the sense that they like bright light but also like to stay cool so it seems to me that tarracata pots would be counterproductive. Anyway if anyone has expierence in this area please share your findings. Also any info on this plant or the other carnivorous Bromeliad Catopsis berteroniana, any info on these plants would be great, info on cultivation or any little tid bit would be awsome. Thanks for your time and any info provided. This plant has quickly become one of my favorite and its crazy how little info I can find out there on this group of plants wich is sad because it seems easy enough to grow and looks great growing next to other tropical CP's. Thanks again

I got mine at Cobraplant.com (great site by the way) but im looking mostly for Catopsis berteroniana but I wouldnt mind geting a couple more Broccinia reductas either though. You can message me privately if need be and id be willing to purchase or trade. Thanks again and sorry for writing so much and rambling.
