If any one is traviling on or near the central coast in the Morro Bay area, Highway 1, Cambria,Cayucos,Los Osos, San Luis Obispo then come peep my outdoor collection! Here on the central coast we have some of the nicest weather and mild winters perfect for growing a wide aray of C.P's outdoors year round! From most if not all subtropical Drosera to Cephalotus andeven Heliamphora hybrids thrive here outdoors! Sometimes ill bring my heli in if I think the temps are guna drop too low but during the summer months the Helis love it outdoors! I also have a nice terrarium collection going. I just started experimenting with terrariums this year but im allready having good success partly due to the very informitive members on this forum but iv been growing outdoors here since 2004 and to date have not had any plants croke on me exept for a mexican ping I tried outdoors about 6 or so yrs ago but I think I waterd it too much. Anyway I wouldnt say my collection is super huge but the specimens I do have are prime! most of my V.F.T's and sarrecenia are dormant now of course so the best time to visit id say would be in the late spring when their in full growth but our spring usualy starts prety early in like Feb or early march but im always down to give tours and talk C.P's so if u find urself in the Central Coast area email me and I can giv you additional info and directions. Safe travels and happy growing! Norman C. Normancaughran@gmail.com
