Greetings Moderators, Admin and everyone else who reads this,
Frequently, people post questions to the forum asking for help diagnosing problems with their plants or horticultural techniques/setup. Often, the same follow up questions are asked by forums members in an attempt to diagnose problems.
Therefore, I wrote up a draft of a series of questions and suggestions to help members provide most of the necessary information right off the bat. What do you think?
My recommendation is that we place this, or a similar document, in all of the plant sections as a sticky and request that members answer these questions when asking for cultivation help.
Here it is, my intent is that this will prompt a discussion if the admins and other members feel this idea has merit:

How to ask for help with your carnivorous plant
Diagnosing problems with your carnivorous plants can be difficult over a medium such as a web forum. Many factors contribute to the health of a plant, and by the nature of this communication method, capturing the necessary details to form a reasonable diagnosis of a plant issue is very difficult. This list of questions is meant to give members a set of guidelines for requesting help and is meant to capture crucial details that could help in diagnosing potential problems. Some questions asked, you may not know the specific answers to- please try your best. The more information you can give us, the better the chances are that we can give you a more accurate diagnosis. Copy and past the questions below into your thread/posting:
*Please note: These questions and this forum are here to help people solicit opinions and recommendations from other members regarding their plant cultivation and plant health. Any provided opinions should never be considered to be a definitive diagnosis of a plant problem and no particular results are ever guaranteed- they are opinions after all. Any opinions posted here are not necessarily representative of ICPS, and should be considered the opinions of the individuals who post them. In the end, they are your plants and how you choose to care for them is your personal responsibility. ICPS accepts no liability for any recommendations posted here and recommends members seek information from many sources. Please also be courteous in posting your questions.
* Please also recall, we are plant people. We want to hear how things go. Please consider following up and letting us know how things go. After all, we have something to learn from you as well!
