It's about time that I share some of my plants on this forum, so here we go! Nepenthes maxima "Lake Poso" is coloring up nicely! It's still relatively small, but exploded in size since I got it in October. N. maxima "Lake Poso" by Wire Man, on Flickr U. graminifolia U. graminifolia by Wire Man, on Flickr Pot full o' purps. Can you find the hybrid? These are from Reedy Creek Bog in Caroline Co. VA. The site is pretty much dead now since it was sprayed with herbicide. S. purpurea by Wire Man, on Flickr D. spatulata D. spatulata by Wire Man, on Flickr D. venusta D. venusta by Wire Man, on Flickr N. burkei, hands down one of my favorite species. Still a baby, but showing potential. N. burkei by Wire Man, on Flickr And one of my primary interests, and something I have a real talent for finding in the field, my Sphagnum! This one is Sphagnum molle from Surry Co, VA Sphagnum molle by Wire Man, on Flickr Unknown Sphagnum from Caroline Co, VA Sphagnum by Wire Man, on Flickr U. multifida has germinated! Both divided lobe form and normal form. U. multifida by Wire Man, on Flickr Another of my Sphagnum discoveries, "Cushion" Sphagnum. N. naga by Wire Man, on Flickr N. lavicola is showing some amazing color since I got it. Cool sculpture! Also nice to see someone who has some of the rarer species. Nice color on the lavicola, and good luck with the naga!

Great plants and scultures!!!
How big is the pot with the purpreas?

Thanks! The sculpture took a while, since I had never done anything like it before. I can't wait for the lavicola to open, the peristome should be just as amazing as the rest of the pitcher.
The pot full of purpureas is around 10" across. I'll measure it when I get back home this weekend.

Thanks.
What is that thing coming out of the nep. burkei?

The N. burkei pitcher that's hanging over the edge of the pot is dying back, so the lid has shriveled into the pitcher. The thing on the left is a fern growing out of the N. maxima pot.
I'm probably not going to be able to take photos of my Sarracenia for a while. They're in Fredericksburg and I'll be starting a new job in Williamsburg soon, so we'll see how that works.

I really like the sculpture - it captures the visual essence. I'm hoping you'll post further pics of your N. lavicola. 'Looks like the entire plant is brightly colored.

Thanks, it took a lot of work. My fish sculptures capture the motion and visual presence even more accurately. And yes, the lavicola is very colorful. Okay, big update. The Paph is open! I'll have to edit the photos for posting today.
N. lavicola is definitely worth growing. It's surprisingly easy, just slow. I received some P. cyclosecta leaf pullings a few weeks ago, and new plants are already generating!
