Greetings all! I have heard a lot of mixed information regarding the shelf life of GA3 both with refrigeration and without. I was wondering if anyone has any input on the matter.
Does anyone now what the shelf life is (I am perfectly fine with the idea of half-life or any other logarithmic curve notion)? Does refrigeration help? Is is necessary? Recommended?
I do have some college level chemistry background and minored in Physics. I never took Organic Chemistry (just so you know where my background and potential level of understanding is).

Oh, I guess I should say that this question is primarily meant to assume GA3 in aqueous solution. I understand that the powder lasts a while if you don't do something silly to it.

My answer to this question is by no means scientific, however, I received instructions upon receiving the GA3 I currently use with the following info:
1. You can refrigerate for up to two weeks and it should still remain active. I use it as soon as I get it into solution. The guide I was given says that it is better to use it as soon as you dissolve it.
2. I store mine in powder form double bagged in the freezer. Should be OK for a couple years according to what I have read.
I'm also interested in this post. I've had ~50% germination with Sarracenia seed batches compared to refrigeration stratification more like 95%+. I was hoping for better results with GA3. Maybe I received a bad batch? I've been soaking my Sarracenia seed in it between 25 and 30 hrs and then sterilizing for TC.

Do you know a good source for larger quantities?
